Gathangga Wakulda Aboriginal Corporation acknowledges the Birrbay, Warrimay and Guringay peoples, their lands, waters and skies where we live, work and gather. We honour the strength, resilience and wisdom of our Elders, past and present, and recognise their role in revitalising and continuing the Gathang language, relevant cultures and knowledge systems.
We pay respects to our Ancestors who have cared for Country since time immemorial, and to the young people who will carry our language and culture forward. We acknowledge that language and Country are inseparable.
This land has always been and always will be, Aboriginal land.

Gathangga Wakulda was founded in 2024 to strengthen the continuation of the Gathang language, culture and knowledge systems — and to empower community-led initiatives across our footprint.
Our membership is made up of dedicated Gathang-speaking community members who share a collective vision: to centre Gathang cultural philosophies as the foundation of how we live, work and care for Country. Born from the work of language leaders across generations, we are committed to creating spaces where language thrives, leadership grows, and cultural knowledge is shared.
