Wakulda — together, as one

Help carry Gathang forward.

Your gift directly funds community language classes, mentorship for emerging teachers, on-Country learning, and the long-term work of building our Language and Culture Centre.

Why give

Every dollar stays in community.

Gathangga Wakulda is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation founded in 2024 by Gathang-speaking community members. We exist for one reason: to ensure Gathang remains a thriving, living language for generations to come.

Grants get us part of the way. Community generosity gets us the rest. Your gift means Language Educators can teach, young people can learn, and the work of language continuation can happen at the pace and scale our community deserves.

Gathangga Wakulda Aboriginal Corporation is a registered not-for-profit with DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status, donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.

Our vision is for Gathang to be a thriving, living language — spoken, heard and lived in everyday life. Your gift helps make it so.

Transparency

Accountability matters to us too.

Our values include Integrity and Sustainability — meaning the same standards we hold for our language work also apply to how we steward gifts.

We publish annual reports, hold AGMs open to members, and our financial systems are overseen by a contracted accountant alongside a community-led Board. We aim for transparency in everything we do.
